A Load-balancing Algorithm in the WLAN and eHRPD Hybrid System

This paper studies the load balancing in the hybrid network of eHRPD and WLAN. The proposed algorithm refers to the network resource utilization when the users are handed off Therefore, the load in the hybrid network can be balanced. Through the simulation of the integrated system, our scheme can enhance the average throughput while the radio link failure is unaffected. Moreover, the best handover thresholds can be obtained with the largest throughput.
